Principal activities of the company

Community Interest Statement (Activities & Benefit) Daz In The Hat Radio Community Interest Company operates a community broadcasting service supporting unsigned and independent music artists and provides skill development opportunities for individuals seeking careers in radio and the creative industries. We provide airplay, exposure and support to artists who struggle to secure mainstream access, and we offer volunteers practical training, mentoring and portfolio experience across broadcasting, production, marketing, administration and media roles to improve employability. We broadcast globally via internet and smart speakers and hold a PRS licence allowing us to bring “Music You Know & Love, Music You Don’t Know & Will Love” to listeners far & wide. Beneficiaries Primary beneficiaries are unsigned and independent artists, individuals seeking to develop skills and careers in radio and creative industries, and the wider community who benefit from cultural access, inclusion and enhanced community broadcasting provision. Reinvestment of Surplus (Asset Lock Statement) The Company operates for community benefit and not private profit. Any surplus is reinvested into broadcasting activities, volunteer training, artist development, technological improvement and sustaining community services. Public Benefit Our activities provide measurable public benefit by increasing access to cultural participation, supporting employment pathways, enhancing creative opportunities and enabling emerging artists to reach wider audiences.
