Company activities and impact

The company run Story Wagon, a popup venue for storytelling performances and creative writing activities. Story Wagon was built in 2021 and incorporated as a Community Interest Company in 2022. In the year 2024/25 we worked with communities in Fife, Maryhill, and Bute. We provided community arts activities including traditional storytelling performances, creative writing workshops and writing for wellbeing workshops that benefitted 2183 people. We engaged 94 people with creative writing who had not engaged with it in over 12 months. We provided volunteer activities for 15 people who wanted experience working in outdoor arts.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company's stakeholders are Scottish citizens living in areas that have low provision of arts activities and limited access to arts provision. This includes both rural and urban communities. We have a working group of individuals from this population. The group is diverse in protected characteristics in order to ensure many voices are heard. The group is consulted on project plans and their feedback is essential to ensuring the activities our company provides are suitable for reaching our stakeholders. Feedback is also gathered from participants at our activities. This is fed back into planning.

Directors' remuneration

The aggregate amount of emoluments paid to or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £6,000. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration.
