2Accounting Policies

Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
MAINTENANCE CONTRIBUTIONS

Maintenance Contributions paid by Members are accounted for when received. They are credited to a Maintenance Reserve and are allocated from that reserve to Profit and Loss Account to cover the excess of expenditure over other income.


FREEHOLD PROPERTY

The Company owns the freehold of the land and buildings at Chandlers Yard, Burry Port, not otherwise held either by individual property owners or by the management companies for the two blocks of flats known as Beacon House and Northpoint. The land was transferred to the Company at no cost, is shown as such in these Accounts, and is considered to have no market value.
