Soul Purpose 360 CIC remains rooted in community development blending personal development to motivate, inspire and imbue confidence in Black women to help them overcome personal obstacles and challenges and support them to make positive contributions to their community through their own personal growth. We continue to support women facing personal challenges preventing them from taking part in community life, to establish community projects giving them purpose and direction and providing a service to society. The social enterprise has continued to grow year on year with 2024 25 a truly significant year for the group. The independent advisory board members continue to support CEO and staff team. Theme Growth Membership of the Black Women’s Networking and Empowerment Circle continues to grow across a variety of social media platforms and continues to provide a safe space for Black women to engage share and seek support from others. Grown national membership to over 2000 across the globe with a particular focus on the UK. We established additional local groups and hosted 72 monthly in person events in London Boroughs of Croydon, Greenwich, Islington, Lewisham, Southwark, Newham and Lambeth. The Resilient Women Build Communities programme also known as Soul Purpose 360 Croydon funded by The People’s Health Trust came to an end in May 2025 engaging 586 Black women. Legacy gardening club. Hosted 72 monthly in person events in London Boroughs of Croydon, Islington Greenwich, Lewisham, Southwark, Newham and Lambeth. Established Soul Steppers Walking Group. June 2025 employed three additional part time staff Fundraising Coordinator, PA Admin Officer and social media Officer. Established IT and Admin systems and processes for managing staff, including implementing OneDrive for centralised document storage and embedding the NatWest Mentor HR system to support organisation of HR practices. Established an Excel database to track all members and donors and facilitate set up of campaigns. Implemented a working Grants schedule to include current and forthcoming eligible funding bids. Set up the Easyfundraising cashback platform to build passive income, and this has been promoted to Membership and the wider public. Made improvements to member registration, adding a QR code and a user friendly URL to drive further engagement. Established a robust evaluation and monitoring framework with an Evaluation and Monitoring Consultancy to analyse impact across a cross section of our membership. Launched Self Development training programme supporting 25 beneficiaries delivered by 5 Trainers Coaches. Theme Members influencing the strategic direction of organisation In response to member feedback during the reporting period, we launched the WhatsApp Community which increased to 400 members and 48 sub groups. Not all members are on WhatsApp, but across a range of preferred engagement types including email, Instagram, Facebook and the Facebook Closed Group. During the reporting period, we underwent rebranding which involved taking on an external Consultant called DEFY Brands funded by the National Lottery Community Fund who carried out several focus groups with our members and resulted in new brand colours, new logo, pitch deck, brand guide and more collateral. This had an immediate impact on the organisations outward look and feel. Hosted regular National Committee meetings and additional focus groups for members around several topics to support the development of the organisation including the WhatsApp Community establishment, training programme development. Our local empowerment workshop programmes are coordinated by Polls in the local groups to ensure that we are delivering what our members are telling us they need to feel empowered. Theme Communications Soul Purpose 360 and our CEO continue to benefit from engagement in the media programme organised by Sound Delivery Media SDM who help to raise our profile and bring connections in the media such as broadcast and paper journalists. CEO promoted Soul Purpose 360 on a host of national podcasts and community radio programmes including BBC Radio London and Sounds of The City with Kim Davis during the reporting period. CEO spoke at public meetings including the House of Lords for World Kindness Day and Breaking Barriers to Trade hosted by Baroness Verma during the reporting period. CEO invited to co chair Race On The Agenda ROTA Housing Advisory Group Brick By Brick building racial housing justice. Published regular Soul Inspiration Newsletters. Posted regular social media posts blogs and supported and promoted members social media posts. Launched TikTok account. Hosted Black History Month online event during the reporting period with the CEO in conversation with three members discussing the contribution of Black women to society.
Soul Purpose 360 CIC has consulted with a range of stakeholders throughout the reporting period, including beneficiaries, member organisations, delivery partners, funders, and statutory and voluntary sector bodies. Consultation has been embedded through collaborative working, joint delivery, participation in networks, and shared learning activities. The organisation established and maintained strategic alliances with external organisations, individuals, and groups to enhance the support available to beneficiaries whose needs extend beyond the organisation’s direct capacity. This included consultation and partnership working with members of the national Black Women’s Networking and Empowerment Circle, enabling referrals to specialist providers and ensuring beneficiaries could access appropriate and culturally informed support. Soul Purpose 360 CIC collaborated with the Croydon based organisation Up Front Conversation, securing funding from Kingston Race Equality Council to deliver social research that contributed to the Developing an Anti Racist Health and Care System Community Insight from South West London. Consultation also took place through the joint delivery of an event on Black Women’s Womb Health in February 2025, informed by the lived experiences of Black women and community stakeholders. The organisation supported Croydon Council to secure Heritage Lottery Funding by providing community evidence for the Ashburton Park restoration project, ensuring that local voices and needs informed the funding application. Soul Purpose 360 CIC also participated in Croydon Creative Health Network consultations and working groups, contributing insight from beneficiaries and members to shape local creative health priorities. Consultation with stakeholders also occurred through collaborative delivery of events and activities with member organisations. This included partnership working with Millian Market in March 2025 to deliver pop up market activity, collaboration with Go Africa between June and August 2025 to support the launch of Soul Purpose 360 Islington, and partnership with Talawa Theatre Company in September 2025 to host the Single Light Exhibition. These activities involved shared planning, feedback, and reflection with partners and participants. In addition, Soul Purpose 360 CIC engaged with Mabadiliko REN Health Projects through consultations and working groups focused on health equity and collaborated on the development of an NHS funding bid. This ensured that community insight and beneficiary experience informed service design and funding proposals.
