UXL4Life is a non-profit organisation that focuses on providing children and young people aged 16-24 with the skills, guidance, and resources necessary to achieve personal and professional success. Our core activities include: Educational Support Services Tutoring: We have provided tailored academic tutoring in key subjects such as Maths, English, and Science to 6-24-year-olds, helping them build a solid foundation in these essential subjects. These tutoring services cater to a wide range of learners, from primary school level to adult education. Digital Skills Programs and Coding Bootcamps: In line with our mission to equip young people with future-ready skills, we Conducted digital skills programs and coding bootcamps for young individuals, enhancing their technical capabilities and preparing them for careers in the digital economy. Mental Health and Well-being Initiatives Mental Health Workshops: Seven free mental health awareness workshops were organised and delivered online, reaching 100's participants. These workshops provided valuable insights into managing mental health and fostering resilience in the face of challenges. Foot Health Clinic Services: We have acquired funding from our local council to deliver foot health clinic services to the elderly residents, recognising the importance of physical well-being as an integral part of mental health care. Career Development and Support Work Experience and Employability Support: We assisted young people in securing work experience placements, enhancing their CVs, preparing job applications, and providing interview coaching. These efforts are aimed at enhancing their career readiness and employability prospects. Mentorship Programs: Participants are connected with professional mentors from diverse fields, including teaching, finance, and human resources, providing them with industry insights and guidance on their career paths. Community Engagement and Outreach Cross-Borough Collaboration: We collaborated with four care homes and other stakeholders to offer these services to approximately 50 residents from January 2024 to the end of March 2024. We provided free foot health checks, which included vascular and neurological assessments, routine nail care for all residents, footcare advice, and referrals to appropriate services such as GP surgeries, dermatology, and vascular departments.
