SHA Sutton Coldfield CIC exists to promote cultural heritage, community cohesion, and social wellbeing within Sutton Coldfield and the wider West Midlands area. The organisation’s core mission is to preserve and share the rich traditions, values and cultural practices associated with Hindu heritage, while building bridges across diverse communities in the UK. The company has undertaken a range of activities aimed at enriching community life, enhancing cultural understanding, and fostering inclusion: Cultural and Religious Events: Organising and hosting traditional Hindu festivals and celebrations that bring together families and individuals from across Sutton Coldfield. Examples include community celebrations such as Ganesh Utsav, Onam and local sporting events like the SHA Premier Cricket League. These events provide opportunities for cultural expression, social interaction and community pride. Educational Outreach: Through talks, community programmes and participation in cultural education, the organisation promoted understanding of Hindu philosophy, traditions and values. These educational activities support learning among younger generations and encourage intercultural dialogue. Community Building: SHA CIC provided a platform for members of the local community to connect, support one another and strengthen social networks. By fostering a sense of belonging, the company contributes to social cohesion and mutual understanding among diverse groups.
