| Basis of preparing the financial statements |
| Turnover |
| Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. |
| Tangible fixed assets |
| Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less depreciation. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following bases. |
| Property improvements - 10% straight line |
| Motor vehicles - 25% reducing balance |
| Fixtures & fittings - 25% reducing balance |
| Stocks |
| Work in progress is valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value. |
| Cost is calculated using the first-in, first-out method and includes all purchase, transport, and handling costs in bringing stocks to their present location and condition. |
| Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits |
| The LLP operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the LLP's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate. |

| Belmont Properties (Shrewsbury) Limited and Kingsland Meadow Property Limited, who are members of this partnership, are members of CGP Residential Lettings LLP. During the period ending 31 March 2025 CGP Residential Sales LLP recharged CGP Residential Lettings LLP £24,664 (2024: £14,435) in respect of direct and shared overheads. At 31 March 2025 £387 (2024: £18,642) was due from CGP Residential Lettings LLP. |
