Blueprint Arts (BPA) is a grassroots community arts organisation dedicated to delivering inclusive, well-being-focused, and educational arts experiences across North Kent. For nearly two decades, we have worked within communities - particularly in areas facing social and economic challenges - to harness the power of the arts as a transformative tool for enrichment, connection, and empowerment. Our mission is simple: to make the arts accessible to all. Creativity, culture, and artistic expression are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that everyone, regardless of background or circumstance, should have the opportunity to explore and experience the arts in a way that is meaningful to them. Through innovative projects, we inspire and develop technical and creative skills, cultivating healthier, stronger, and more sustainable communities. Our main beneficiaries reside in Gravesham and Dartford and we deliver a number of varied projects, courses, events and workshops throughout the year. Our activities have benefitted our communities in the following ways: We have connected with approximately 2000 people through our work including online and digital work We have delivered approximately 2700 hours of community work through workshops and community meetings We have co-created 32 events and projects with our communities Worked with 15 volunteers who have committed an average of 48 hours each to our community work We have delivered 3 varied specialised courses for local people who want to deliver events and local artists who want to develop their community focused/led practices We have delivered 87 hours of mentoring to local artists and young people interested in careers in arts industries We have employed 53 freelance staff, providing work for local artists, support workers and other creative/casual staff. We have employed 2 full time staff members and 1 part-time staff member We have been working with our Cultural Forum, made up of local people who help to design and deliver our projects, this group is the foundation of our community-led approach. Towards the end of this financial year we began our Youth Advisory Board who will help to ensure local young people have a voice within our work and their ideas and creativity help to shape the work that BPA do.
