Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 March 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen not to file a copy of the company's profit and loss account.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets and depreciation Tangible assets are included at cost less depreciation and impairment. Depreciation has been provided at the following rates in order to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives: Plant & machinery - 25% Fixtures & fittings - 25% Computer equipment - 33%

    Other accounting policies

    The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below and have remained unchanged from the previous year, and also have been consistently applied within the same accounts. Basis of preparation The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain fixed assets. Presentation currency The accounts are presented in £ sterling.

Company activities and impact

2024-2025 – Work continues with the company’s re-launch as a Documentary Film-House building upon great recognition with Documentary “The Floating Villages”. Which was selected for 11 International Film Festival and 5 of those being a Finalist and 4 of them being selected as Winner of its Category “Best Short Documentary”, “Best International Film” and “Best Short Film”. Documentary project covering Egypt began production at the end of 2023 and is still under production. The film project encompasses history, art, ancient wisdom and archaeological themes. Our shoots in Bali & Mauritius. Also continue with more content filmed this year. Discovering culture and rich human history in spirituality, ancient wisdom, water, environment and its relation to health & wellbeing. Filming utilizing last years Equipment upgrades of new professional camera and drone has allowed Union Street Production Quality and level of Professional Content evolution to the next level. We are still reaching and endeavoring towards Union Street to submit to film Festival such as Cannes, Toronto and possibly even Academy Awards. The other films that we are still in production include - ‘Don’t Turn Away’ (Homelessness in Manchester), India & Pakistan Partition, Biography for Human Rights Activist Gyani Sunder Singh Sagar & Vietnam: The True Legacy of Agent Orange. These are still in production edited and to be completed end of 2026 Our health and wellness initiative Earth Clinic & School, has continued to develop offering support in many forms such as Mental Emotional Health, Crisis support, Therapeutic support and education. Earth School, our educational platform offering courses on health & wellbeing as continued to go from strength to strength; With the success of lsat years online summit called “The Beyond Healing Summit” in Oct/Nov 2024 with 15-20 International Speakers whose expertise in various areas of health & wellbeing come together to share wisdom and inspire people on their healing journey. This has propelled the school to a wider range of audience and new teachers coming on board We have had plethora of training courses, classes and gatherings throughout 2024-2025. Classes & educational courses include Mediation & Yoga, Reiki, Crystal Therapy, Sound Healing, Holistic Health & Naturopathy, Talking Therapy IFS (Internal Family Systems) and a basic awareness in Anatomy & Physiology. We have had approx 20 new students join our alumni in this past year. New course ‘The Embodied Practitioner just launched and will take us to mid 2026. This new course a marking a new milestone and pillar in the educational work we do. It is encompassing all previous 15 years of experience and skills amassed by our team and is now began sharing it with the world in a pioneering program designed to produce the next generation of truly holistic health practioners. Our Consultancy and Management Service has continuation of its support business Management this past year. The work of Union Street has benefited people by providing high quality formal/informal learning opportunities, promoting/facilitating community cohesion, encouraging equality/diversity, providing a safe space for people to come together & explore health/social/economic/environmental issues, promoting important social & current affairs, encouraging/raising awareness of important topics, places, spaces, people & organisations, encouraging the uptake of activities in the G. Manchester region, improving people’s health/well-being, reducing isolation, creating impactful personal/professional development opportunities & supporting people to increase their personal power to fulfill their desires & needs.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our Stakeholders are the community, statutory services, voluntary sector organisations, local businesses and entrepreneurs, our staff, board members and volunteers.We have consulted with our stakeholders throughout the year through various means depending on the type of work. We continue to acquire countless testimonials from our service users and feedback to improve our services regularly. We have consulted with local organisations and businesses on creative and digital media needs, designed and amended services accordingly. We have interviewed and engaged with professionals and services users working with mental health and trauma to inform content for on ongoing campaigns and projects on Homeless Awareness and health and wellbeing. We communicate regularly with our stake holders through email, newsletters, gatherings, phone calls, zoom calls and social media.
