Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 March 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen not to file a copy of the company's profit and loss account.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover represents the invoiced value of goods supplied and services rendered, net of VAT, and is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership have transferred to the customer.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. Depreciation is provided so as to write off the cost of tangible fixed assets on a straight-line basis over their estimated useful economic lives. Plant and machinery and equipment are depreciated at 20% per annum. Depreciation is charged from the date the asset is available for use. No residual values are assumed.

    Valuation information and policy

    The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention. Assets are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value. No assets are held at fair value and no revaluations have been performed during the year.

    Other accounting policies

    The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Section 1A of Financial Reporting Standard 102 and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements are prepared on a going concern basis and in sterling under the historical cost convention. Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value. Current tax is provided at the amounts expected to be paid to or recovered from the taxation authorities, based on tax rates enacted or substantively enacted at the balance sheet date. Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date. The company has only basic financial instruments as defined in FRS 102.

Company activities and impact

The company produces premium spirit beverages, using the profits from the sale of its products to support the military community and its veterans. The company has continued to face challenges resulting from rising costs impacting its supply chain. Despite these challenges, the company continued its support of partner charities with donations, including products in support of charity fundraisers.
