The Board operates to guide the actions of DYSPLA, a Neurodivergent-led arts organisation and studio. It ensures the organisation's activities align with its core mission to produce and develop the work of Neurodivergent story makers. Advocacy and Social Change: Using the arts to challenge societal norms and educational systems that disadvantage neurodivergent people, and advocating for the 'social model of disability' DYSPLA’s manifesto: -Produce and develop the work of neurodivergent story makers -Create stories with undervalued and unheard communities around Britain and internationally -Build a national and international network of neurodiverse creatives and providing supportive environments for them to flourish. -To inspire Britain’s neurodivergent story making community During the year DYSPLA has produced and participated in a number of community projects and activities in the local Enfield area as well as across the UK and beyond. All projects are designed to engage ND residents and artists who may not usually be included in such opportunities. Please see DYSPLA's website for further info on all our activities and the projects we run. DYSPLA's Surgery Script workshops run every month to support Script Development & Scene Acting for ND creatives.
Consultation with stakeholders DYSPLA Chat is an on going peer-to-peer monthly gathering of like-minded Neurodivergent Creatives, meeting over Zoom or in person to discuss neurodivergent creativity, methodology, strategy and future projects. All people identifying as Neurodivergent and living and working in the UK are welcome to join. Link: https://dyspla.com/chat DYSPLA has a database of over 6,000 subscribers who receive regular updates about new and developing DYSPLA projects. DYSPLA produces an online publication called the Museum of the Neurodivergent Aesthetic, where we post articles and essays on all DYSPLA projects. The DYSPLA board operates to guide the actions of DYSPLA, a Neurodivergent-led arts organisation and studio. The board's work ensures the organisation's activities align with its core mission to produce and develop the work of Neurodivergent story makers. The board meets at least twice monthly, to discuss a) the actions of DYSPLA and its future plans and b) to action the agreed upon points. The Board follows rigorous criteria to ensure they enact DYSPLA's constitution.
The total amount paid to the directors in respect of qualifying services was £40,950 A home studio is rented by DYSPLA and £6,000 was paid to H. Varvarides
