These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable. Turnover is reduced for estimated customer returns, rebates and other similar allowances. Specifically, revenue from the sale of goods is recognised when goods are delivered and legal title is passed.

COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

THE MAKER'S GUILD CIC

Company Number: 10765225 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 March 2025

Company activities and impact

We have grown the only Ceramics Studio in Portsmouth to a stable entity, providing community experiences into ceramics and helped raise funds for homeless projects around the city with the sale of ceramics products through events. Held a Ceramics Exhibition to further promote the items made in the studio to boost confidence for the makers and advertise classes. This sadly had to close due to the sale of the Building by Portsmouth City Council. The high street studio space lease ended, and we had to close - assets were transferred to Citizens Advice. To further grow the opportunities for the community to see what they can build on and take part in, from crafts, engineering, architecture and others, we moved all activities back to Portsmouth Guildhall. We are also working with schools, colleges, and universities to provide professional practice opportunities for their students and retail stockists. And also equipped it for ceramics due to the high demand for such activity in the area.

Consultation with stakeholders

We have partnered with more collaborators across different areas on each project to discover how best to match their needs, work together and plan what could follow together. When developing projects with stakeholders we always begin with a people-centred approach, ensuring a one-to-one package throughout the creative process.

Directors' remuneration

Director's Renumeration amounted to less than £6000 for the year

Transfer of assets

No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
