In 2024-2025, we continued to deliver,The Educate into Employment project, which was aimed to promote the positive integration of BAME communities in Stoke-on-Trent; through tailored English language programs; training; and employment. As a community learning organization; we have consistently seen an increased number of BAME communities who are willing to contribute to British society but are hindered by language barriers. This will reduce the ESOL waiting list; by providing a safe learning space; culture-led support; and the opportunity for the BAME community struggling with the English language; to learn and make full use of their talents and abilities. This project was aimed to benefit Asylum seekers; refugees; and dependents who struggle with English language and functional skills. This project ran through the yeat, with weekly english lessons, help with CV writing and covering letter; convert foreign qualifications into English; provide interviewing skills; and match them with local recruiters. We run 2 English lessons a week; 1 wellbeing session a week; and 1 interviewing and job application session a week. We have been having a consistent class attendance of 8-15 candidates each week. We shall continue throughout 2026.
