The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Summary of Aims and Objectives
The principal aim of the IZA Foundation @ Arts and Music is to promote, maintain, improve and advance art and education particularly with a view to establishing increasing and diverse cultural links and artistic fusions between many communities living in Scotland. To encourage and promote interest in literature, music and art and arts activity in general, by organising festivals, concerts, community and education projects, exchange programmes and visits, particularly benefiting young people based in Scotland and those with special needs or circumstances

To encourage and promote general arts education for children, especially those with special needs and circumstances, by using Russian musical and art traditions, particularly in the involvement of popular, acclaimed artists to encourage enjoyment with aspiration, involvement and quality. To encourage, promote and organize lectures, concerts, projects and exhibitions for the benefit of the young and thus to improve the cultural and racial climate between the people and different ethnic groups in Scotland.

Main Objectives for the Year

- To provide cultural services that enhance Glasgow's reputation as a multicultural society.

- To enable young people in particular to participate in, and develop their full potential in the arts.

- Following the success of National Holocaust Memorial Days 2020, 2021, 2022 ,2023 and 2024, our charity in collaboration with International Education Department of Glasgow City Council, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Interfaith Scotland and Twinning Office of Glasgow City Council started planning & implementation of HMD-25-events and activities commemorating the Holocaust and Genocides..

Strategies for Achieving Stated Objectives
The focus of this year was on preparation, design and delivering of the HMD 25 Scotland project. The project was delivered in January 2025 during the National Holocaust Memorial week.

The HMD25 took form of commemorative event/concert. It took place at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's' Stevenson Hall. Once again, we were able to deliver live project, the project, in which the main initiative, as well as delivery was given to children and students, young musicians from Glasgow's schools and RCS. One of the main achievements of this project once again was live participation of young performers-students from Verdi Conservatoire of Turin and Nuremberg State School of Arts and Music. Both of the cities are Glasgow's Twinning Partners. This was made possible with funding from the Twinning Office of Glasgow City Council.

Details of Significant Activities
August - September 2024
Planning meetings online with our funders and partners- Lord Provost and International Office, Twinning Department, Interfaith Scotland and The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland took place. The contacts and discussions with our twinning partners in Turin and Nuremberg also took place. FINANCIAL REVIEW
Financial position
This year the charity has incurred a deficit of £2,350 (2024 - deficit of £726), which has resulted in reserves decreasing to £52. This comprises £52 of Restricted Funds and General Funds of £nil.

The charity plans and budgets for each project as a separate item and when the trustees decide that the project is to go ahead the charity then raises the necessary funds to support the project. Actual results for each project are compared against the budget at the end of the project to ensure that no substantial deficit is allowed to build up.

Principal funding sources
Glasgow City Council Twinning Project, Interfaith Scotland.

Reserves policy
The charity's policy on reserves is that only a small reserve of retained surpluses be allowed to accumulate to cover any small deficit in a future project. The Trustees are of the opinion that as the charity does not have any long-term projects, and has no fixed overhead running costs to meet, there is no requirement to carry substantial reserves.

FUTURE PLANS
The charity plans to continue operating in future financial periods in a similar manner to the way it is currently run, financially, to support the aims of the charity as detailed elsewhere in this report. The planned future projects are as follows: Glasgow's 850s Anniversary, 60's Anniversary of the Twinning, Building of the Opera, HMD-26. Unfortunately, our future plans are in jeopardy due to the fact that the Café Cossachok, our main source of support is no longer exist. The property has been returned to landlord-City Property. The Board of Trustees is in the process of discussions and planning for the relocations and secure all art and workshop materials as well as searching for the new home for the charity.

We will continue to build on the success of this year's projects. IZA Foundation@ Arts and Music has reached an agreement with the Lord Provost and International Office to continue to design and deliver several events, workshops, concerts and exhibitions in Twin Cities. As well as with Turin , we engaged the other Twinning Partners Cities :Nuremberg, Bethlehem. Tragic events of February 2022- Russian invasion of Ukraine put our organisation under immense pressure. Some Board members and other members of our organisation lost their friends and relatives in Kiev, Kherson, Odessa, Mariupol who were killed during this war. The others had to flee their homes in Ukraine and find refuge elsewhere. IZA Foundation@Arts and Musik condemns the actions of Russian government and support Ukraine and its people in their struggle against Putin's aggression. We will continue to work towards providing help to Ukrainian refugees, especially children, young people and students. This work now takes precedence over all other things.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governing document
The charity is controlled by its governing document, a memorandum and articles of association, and constitutes a limited company, limited by guarantee, as defined by the Companies Act 2006.

Recruitment and appointment of new trustees
Individuals wishing to become trustees can apply to the board or be recommended by the board, in advance of the general meeting. The individual then stands for election at a general meeting.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF
IZA FOUNDATION @ ARTS AND MUSIC

I report on the accounts for the year ended 31 March 2025 set out on pages six to twelve.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). The charity's trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1)(a) to (c) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under Section 44(1)(c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

Basis of the independent examiner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

Independent examiner's statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention :

(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements

- to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations; and
- to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and to comply with Regulation 8 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations

have not been met; or

(2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
