The club have operated successfully over the last year offering recreational and elite boxing training and coaching to children and young people as well as adults in the local community. We have had success stories from some of our elite boxers and have been a part of the Eastern District Boxing which has brought together a range of clubs from the local area. We continue to operate in Tranent and offer qualified coaching at financially inclusive rates for our local community. Beneficiaries note an increase in physical and mental wellbeing, resilience, safety and active citizenship.
Our main stakeholder is East Lothian Council. We engage with them regularly with regards to the building our organisation operates from. We also engage with the Connected Communities team from East Lothian Council in delivering training and coaching sessions to children and young people as part of a diversionary programme of activities. This engagement is via email and face to face conversations. We have conducted a parental and community-wide consultation to gauge the impact of our services and also to support a wider recognition of the community based club.
