The company runs regular social events to furry, LGBTQ+ and Neurodivergent communities in and around Berkshire. Events had been running prior to the formation of the CIC in April 2024, and during the financial year events were run approximately every month. The social events empowered those to become more involved in their community, to be more social, and to pursue new hobbies and interests. Specifically: - we have had artists and authors from the communities attend the regular events to sell their home-made products and published books; - we have seen an increase in attendance, from an initial 40 attendees to around 75 attendees on average; we ran a stall at Reading Pride, to raise awareness of the activities we provide; and - we liaised with the organisers of Windsor and Eton's Pride event to discuss working together in future years
The company’s stakeholders include the attendees of our events. After most events, we send out a survey to those that attended, to get feedback on their experiences, including how we could improve the events we organise. Our research shows that although a significant proportion of attendees are from Berkshire and surrounding counties, we do also attract some attendance from across the country. We have ensured that we hold our events that are easy to reach by car and public transport as a result, and increased information availability on reaching us (specifically recording a video on how to walk to the venue from the main railway station). No consultation has been held for other stakeholders.
