  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover represents the total income received by the company from its ordinary activities during the financial year. For the purposes of these accounts, turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding any VAT or other sales taxes. No income has been accrued that is not yet received.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Depreciation is provided on tangible fixed assets to write off the cost, less estimated residual value, of each asset over its expected useful life. Depreciation is charged on a straight-line basis. For micro-entity purposes, only assets of material value are depreciated. Small value assets may be expensed in the year of purchase.

    Intangible fixed assets amortisation policy

    Amortisation is provided on intangible fixed assets to write off the cost, less any residual value, of each asset over its estimated useful life. Amortisation is charged on a straight-line basis. For micro-entity purposes, only assets of material value are amortised. Small value intangible assets may be expensed in the year of purchase.

    Valuation information and policy

    The company’s assets and liabilities have been measured at historical cost. No revaluations have been made during the financial year. This is consistent with the provisions applicable to small companies under FRS 102 Section 1A (Small Entities).
