Our companies activities include supporting HMPS chaplaincy teams by providing pastoral support for inmates. We are currently operating in two different prisons, where we facilitate church services on a sunday and support there chaplaincy team when needed. This gives us the opportunity to build relationships with the inmates, which acts as building blocks for our support in the community. Once the inmates have been released from prison we provide monthly meetings, where we use the principals of Jesus and the bible's teachings to help guide us and find purpose in who God has created us to be. The impact remains to be a long term piece of work but for those who have voluntarlity agreed to be a service user of this project we have seen them develop and grow with many of them studying at university or have found employment.
Our last meeting was on the 27th November 2025 and these were the points that were discussed: Prison Ministry Team meeting: 27th November 2025 Attendees: Darnell, Malika, Toni-ann, Remi, Destiny & Byron Updates: - ARC church will be donating a sound system to Isis prison -This will support the inmates' spiritual well-being while in prison and allow us to build stronger relationships, which we can continue to support once released. - Carol service on the 18th of December – only three people can attend - Attending Feltham prison to lead worship (prison can only have three people at a time and you must be DBS Checked. Possible new prison to add to the ministry 2026: - We will request those within the ministry to give new dates every quarter rather than yearly because it's too long and people forget what dates they’ve put down. - Have we got an official status as an ARC Global ministry, so that we can use church suite? (Byron to check in) - Malika & Destiny oversee Church Suite registration and calendar timetable, so that people will be able to see when they’re on team. - Byron to speak with Elder Joel about setting up Prison ministry email address with Arc church. Morning prayers: - We had a conversation about more people leading morning prayer and ways we can encourage this amongst the team. - Joint consensus that we should meet physically to pray once a month or quarter and continue to build relationships as a team. - Let it be stated the importance of prayer within this ministry because we’re entering an environment where there is a lot of darkness and we must not take this likely. Ideas Prison ministry service: - Getting inmates more involved - Other churches leading the service - Inmates sharing their testimonies in the service of how their journey has been with God in the prison. - Feedback on what they’ve implemented, give out Christian journals with bible verses. New Members: - 14th December to do an introduction meeting for new members after church. It would be good to have a few people attend to share their experiences of the ministry.
