The aim of the CIC was to bring arts and crafts to the community with a view to encourage new connections, positive mental health and wellbeing and a safe space to come together no matter who you were or what your background was. Initially work was done to set up the CIC, including setting up the bank account, social media pages and email accounts. We networked and promoted ourselves at events, to local businesses and charities and we also started to create an online presence, as well as promoting ourselves to our local communities. We started running weekly workshops in February 2025 in Derbyshire, mainly Ripley, which ran until August 2025. Community workshops in Derby started in March 2025 which have ran until October 2025 when it was decided to close New Bloom Arts CIC down. The workshops have been well received in the community and praised for how they brought people together, encouraged people to go out and try something new and encouraged people to make and nurture new connections. They were low cost and this was also appreciated as an accessible and affordable way to socialise more and engage with enjoyable activities. Each workshop had between 4 and 10 participants each week. The future aim was to secure funding to enable the workshops to be free to all. Sadly this was not achieved. Sadly, due to personal circumstances one of the directors chose to leave the CIC in August 2025 and the remaining director, again to personal circumstances and difficulties recruiting another director, chose to close the CIC in October 2025 with accounts made up to the end of November 2025.
The stakeholders are the participants of our workshops. Feedback was requested from them and any feedback received was considered and acted upon appropriately in any following workshops. The CIC is now closing, and this was also discussed with those attending the workshops. They were supportive of the decision and welcomed the plan of the workshops continuing to be ran by another business.
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
