  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when goods have been delivered to customers such that risks and rewards of ownership have transferred to them. Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs. Grant Monies are recorded as Deferred Income upon receipt and taken into Income in the period in which they are expended.

Company activities and impact

Organised and prepared for Arts Action Festival, platforming social impact artists from under represented communities across the UK in dance, theatre, music, spoken word, visual arts who address issues of poverty, housing, racialisation, disabled, migrant, queer, womxn’s justice, personal and structural violence.

Consultation with stakeholders

Stakeholder board of representative community champions. Triaging volunteers from cross-sector partners in Arts & Culture, Schools, Further Education, Higher Education, labour unions, campaign groups, third sector, councils. Co-design with 78 artists and 55 volunteers. Co-design with create programme participants with lived experience of queer, trans, migrant and SW issues being addressed in script writing. Co-delivery in schools with lived experience practitioners around trans storytelling, hxstory, geography and civic education.

Directors' remuneration

The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £13,542. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
