During the financial year, Formidable By Movement CIC has benefited the community by providing accessible, inclusive dance and movement opportunities for children, young people, and adults. The organisation has delivered regular weekly classes alongside community dance workshops open to participants of all ages, promoting physical wellbeing, creativity, and confidence across the local community. A key focus of the company’s work has been accessibility. Formidable By Movement CIC operates a “Pay What You Can Afford” scheme to reduce financial barriers to participation, ensuring that individuals and families are not excluded from dance activities due to economic circumstances. This approach has enabled broader engagement from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. The organisation has also actively worked to foster inclusion and cultural connection by creating spaces that bring together participants from Black, Asian, and European backgrounds. Through shared creative practice, the company has supported positive interaction, mutual respect, and understanding across cultures, helping to bridge social and cultural gaps within the community. Through its activities, Formidable By Movement CIC has provided a safe, supportive environment that encourages self-expression, discipline, teamwork, and emotional resilience. The company’s work has contributed positively to community cohesion, wellbeing, and personal development, using dance as a tool for connection and inclusion.
