Company activities and impact

Rising Youth level Up runs a Private Tuition which is attended by Primary School kids, as well as Secondary School students, particularly those preparing for their GCSE. This financial year, the community in London has benefited in the following ways: - Discounted Private tuition carried out in the Local Library and online. Mentoring and Coaching embedded. KS2 Parents have given positive feedback, about how learning has improved and School Teachers have also reported progress observed, directly to parents. -The GCSE students had good results and have referred other year 9 and year 10s, so they can achieve similar results. - SEN learners - An Autistic teen has his Private Tuition at home weekly and the other SEN learner is being prepared for Employment. She currently volunteers for a well known Charity and has weekly Employability learning sessions, which is a big comfort to her parents. - Summer Bracelet Workshop - In August, 2024, Rising Youth hosted 2 Interactive Bracelet Workshops for youth in Woolwich Local Library, London SE18. Parents brought their kids from 5 – 12 years old, They enjoyed being creative and took the bracelets home. In addition, parents sat with their younger kids and other kids socialised. Volunteers included 2 library staff and 2 of the GCSE students that I teach. The Library Manager noted feedback from parents was good. 35 kids in attendance, over 2 days. - Work Experience. The teens who volunteered at the Bracelet workshop have used the opportunity to add the volunteering role to their CV in preparation for Apprenticeships.
