Year Ending: 31 March 2025

Company activities and impact

The cafe has not launched yet as we were awaiting the issuance of a Building Warrant from the local council to build the kitchen and cafe area. We have been unable to give benefit to the community as the cafe has not opened yet and therefore is not trading yet.

Consultation with stakeholders

Although the cafe has yet to open, we have been asking local residents and visitors to the area what they would like to see in the cafe, from this consultation we have gained the following: 1. Free meals for the elderly that can be delivered to their home would be welcomed as a lot of these individuals do not have transport to come to town 2. The local community would like to volunteer to work in the cafe when opened, we currently have a list of volunteers that have asked to volunteer 3. A reduced cost ready meal that can be frozen for local elderly would be very well received as the delicatessen that used to do these closed The local residents and visitors to the area are keen to buy from the cafe to support us 4. Local residents and visitors to the area have stated that not only would they buy produce for themselves (lunch, snacks etc) at normal rates, they would also pay and donate such items for recipients of charitable meals
