Company activities and impact

SP SPORTS UK is a company that opened on 14/10/21 to benefit the community through sports. We have benefited the community in various ways: We do boxing classes weekly for children, teenagers, and adults. And also do other sports such as wrestling in the school holidays for children to give them other options in sports. We have a positive impact as the community engages with each other. We have members from all backgrounds and faiths, and we have seen positive results in seeing everybody train and integrate. We have collaborated with other sports CIC companies; for example, as mentioned above, we also do an extra wrestling class for the children in the school holidays. We’ve had an impact on the community and have positive feedback, especially from the parents of the children, who we also invite to watch their children train in the classes. We’ve seen people get fitter and also see this have a positive effect on their confidence in general. We have access for everybody in the gym we teach at and also provide free parking.

Consultation with stakeholders

The stakeholders are the people in the local community, as our coaches are well known in the community this has had a positive impact in bringing members to our club. We often ask for feedback from our members on how we can improve and move forward as a CIC. Our main sport we teach is boxing, and we spoke to our members and local residents to what other sport they would like to get involved in, as we wanted more options for them. We sent feedback forms out, with a variety of sport options and the most interest we had was wrestling. So we also incorporated an extra wrestling class which not only did the new members join for that but also our existing members got involved too. This is a practice we adopt as we continually want to grow.
