Company activities and impact

Activities until 30 April 2025:One World One Pitch Runs I Speak Football, a sports and English language programme to help refugees and migrants integrate better through the nation’s favourite game. During the reporting period activities have been around partnership with academic institutions such as Loughborough University and 6aside facilities to be ready to receive funding. Soon after the reporting period we held the a refugee in sports symposium in London. During the reporting period, we undertook activities such as meetings and curriculum design took place with partners and refugee beneficiaries. We created a 15 person refugee-advisory board who help us co-design our programmes. We further partnered with Loughborough University on how to implement trauma-informed programmes. We also onboarded a new team member who has been helping marketing and social media. OWOP specific Fundraising applied for numerous funds however it was not successful during the reporting period and therefore no funds were deposited in the CIC Bank. We do however feel the activities were important as we did secure partnerships and funding in the next financial year and are now looking to grow from our new national lottery funded Wembley programme to other areas around the country.

Consultation with stakeholders

Stakeholders Meetings included: New Horizons Youth Center: Major refugee actor. GOALS: National 6-a-side provider, and secured matched funding agreement Loughborough University: LU became our partners to design trauma-informed programmes. Brent City Council: As our first target borough we work with Brent City Councils Migration Team. Refugee Charities: We met with refugee groups to offer to extend their enrichment services to include the I Speak Football approach.
