Company activities and impact

The German Saturday School continues to run German language classes for children who have a German speaking background, whether because they have one or two German speaking parents or have lived in a German speaking country previously and gone to school there. Attendance at the classes helps the children learn to read and write German and learn about German speaking countries' customs, traditions, literature, geography and history. It also provides them with an opportunity to meet with other German speaking children and use their German language outside the home and with children their own age rather than just adults. Through this the German Saturday School helps families in the German speaking community in Cambridge teach their children about the German speaking part of their heritage and background.
