Company activities and impact

We ran the Bude Literary Festival in May 2025. Over 4,700 visitors attended 100+ events/workshops at 13 local venues and 10 schools, including 1,4850 young people via 36 free author workshops for local schools and home-schooled students. 35 Volunteers supported the festival. The festival provided a week of high quality literary themed activities in our geographically remote community, giving an opportunity for local authors to appear alongside household names, as well as a host of events celebrating local history, heritage and culture.

Consultation with stakeholders

Collected 136 audience feedback surveys at the festival. Ran an online survey promoted on local social media channels; a further 93 responses. Consulted with a local youth group about what they’d like to see at the 2026 festival. All of this consultation fed into the programming choices for the 2026 festival, as well as timing, locations and prices for the events.

Directors' remuneration

A total of £11,084 was paid to two of the directors for work on the festival.

Transfer of assets

No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
