Wrinkly provides advice, information & support to vulnerable communities. We have provided advice over the last 12 months and assisted with benefit claims which have resulted in additional income for vulnerable communities in excess of £300,000 per month. We have supported clients in discussions with GPs, social services & NHS in relation to accessing care and have supported clients in putting in care packages, how the care system works and how care is funded. We have prevented clients from being discharged inappropriately from hospital without adequate care. We have completed a huge relocation for one of our clients from Kent to Devon and helped four more to identify suitable accommodation. We have provided in appealing benefits, obtaining blue badges. We have attended local community groups and activities and provided information talks on benefits and all issues relating to the elderly and vulnerable communities. We have run workshops to help those who want to complete their own benefit applications to do so. The change in financial circumstances has also led to an improvement in mental health for many individuals and carers as we have reduced financial worries and concerns. All activities result in financial benefit for individuals living in communities which has a net impact on local villages and wealth put back into the community. By providing support and assistance with implementing care packaged we have taken stress from the NHS and social care and have supported with the transition for families. Our clients are aware they can call us at any time about any issue they have. This provides reassurance and prevents unnecessary calls to the emergency services.
We work closely with community groups, social services, the NHS and other medical/care support services in providing information advice and guidance for individuals. We run monthly information sessions and online groups for communities to access support. We are developing training programs to market to stake holders to increase their level of knowledge and understanding of the issues facing vulnerable and elderly communities.
