Accounting policies

Statutory information

The company is registered in England and its registered number is 11969143 The company is a private company limited by shares. Its registered office is Unit's D1 & D2, 13-19 Stroud Road, Gloucester, GL1 5AA.

Basis of preparing the financial statements

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention in accordance with the accounting policies set out below. These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with FRS102 Section 1A - The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006.

Turnover

Turnover represents sales of goods net of VAT and trade discounts. Turnove is recognised when the goods are physically delivered to the customer.

Fixed Assets

Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less depreciation Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost or valuation of fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following bases:

Plant and Machinery 33% per annum of cost

Fixtures and Fittings 15% reducing balance basis

Motor Vehicles 25% reducing balance basis

Stocks and Work In Progress

Stock is valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value. Cost is determined on a first in first out basis. Net realisable value represents estimated selling price less costs to complete and sell. Provision is made for slow moving, obsolete or damaged stock where the net realisable value is less than cost.

Leasing

Assets obtained under hire purchase contracts and finance leases are capitalised as tangible fixed assets and depreciated over the shorter of the lease term and their useful lives. Finance leases are those where substantially all of the benefits and risks of ownership are assumed by the company. Obligations under such agreements are included in creditors net of the finance charge allocated to future periods. The finance element of the rental payment is charged to the profit and loss account so as to produce a constant periodic rate of charge on the net obligation outstanding in each period.

Deferred Taxation

Deferred tax is provided on the liability method take account of timing differences between the treatment of certain items for accounts purposes and their treatment for tax purposes. Tax deferred or accelerated is accounted for in respect of all material timing differences.

Pension Scheme

The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme, NEST pension scheme, and the pension charge represents the amounts payable by the company to the fund in respect of the year.

Employees

The average number of persons employed by the company (including directors) during the year was 6.
