Graduates in Film C.I.C. is dedicated to supporting students and graduates entering the

creative industries. The company works to bridge the gap between education and

employment by offering resources, opportunities and networking platforms that help emerging

filmmakers gain practical experience and industry connections.

During the financial year, the company’s activities have benefited the community in the

following ways:

 

● Formed partnerships with universities, students, graduates and businesses to create a

supportive network for aspiring filmmakers.

 

● Developed a series of industry-specific templates and resources to assist graduates in

professionalising their work and navigating film production more effectively. Released in

the next financial year.

 

● Provided funding support and leadership for a film project, directly contributing to the

creation of new creative work.

 

● Organised two networking events for students and graduates, enabling them to meet

industry professionals, build relationships and exchange ideas.

 

● Established a film festival to showcase the work of emerging filmmakers, offering them

valuable exposure and opportunities for recognition.

 

● Offered volunteering placements within the company, allowing students and graduates

to gain hands-on experience and develop employable skills for their CVs.

 

● Sponsored the University of Chichester’s Graduate Showcase, helping to highlight

student achievements and foster links between higher education and the creative

industries.

 

Through these initiatives, Graduates in Film C.I.C. continues to make a positive impact by

empowering new talent, promoting collaboration and strengthening the UK’s film community.

PART 2 – CONSULTATION WITH STAKEHOLDERS A “stakeholder” is any person or organisation affected by the company’s activities.  Please indicate who the company’s stakeholders are; how the stakeholders have been consulted and what action has the company taken in response to feedback from its consultations. The company’s stakeholders include universities, creative industries students, graduates,

other educational institutions, industry professionals, and others involved in the creative

industries. These stakeholders are directly affected by the company’s activities through the

opportunities, resources and collaborations that Graduates in Film C.I.C. provides.

During the financial year, the company has consulted with its stakeholders in a variety of

Ways:

 

● Universities and Educational Partners: Meetings and discussions were held with

university representatives to align our initiatives with student and graduate needs.

 

● Students and Graduates: Feedback was gathered during networking events,

volunteer placements and through social media to understand the challenges

graduates face when entering the film industry.

 

● Industry Professionals and Businesses: We engaged with businesses explaining

our mission and through event engagement to identify skill gaps and opportunities for

emerging filmmakers.

 

As a result of this, the company has taken several actions in response to stakeholder

Feedback:

 

● Developed new film industry templates and guidance materials to better support

graduates in preparing professional portfolios and film documentation.

 

● Adjusted the focus of networking events to include more career-oriented discussions

and practical advice from industry experts.

 

● Enhanced volunteer placements to ensure stakeholders gain more hands-on

experience and a broader range of transferable skills.

 

● Planned future development of Graduates in Film to include workshops, panels, active

filmmaking and other resources.

 

Through ongoing discussions, Graduates in Film C.I.C. continues to adapt its programmes

and services to best serve its community of emerging filmmakers and strengthen connections
