COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

DARTMOUTH TOURISM & BUSINESS HUB CIC

Company Number: 15686118 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 April 2025

Company activities and impact

The business is responsible for marketing the town of Dartmouth as a tourist destination, including the operation of the Visitors Centre. As a town that relies on tourism for a large number of businesses and jobs – both directly and indirectly, it is vitally important to the local community that the town is marketed to potential visitors as an attractive destination for their holidays or day trips. This is done using the Explore Dartmouth brand online, on social media and on traditional media. Once the visitors arrive at Dartmouth, the Visitors Centre provides a useful starting point to their stay, where our volunteers can direct visitors to the many attractions, shops and eating places. We also operate the Newcomen Engine as part of the Visitors Centre – the oldest surviving steam engine in the world

Consultation with stakeholders

We consider our stakeholders to be: Our partners (businesses and organisations who pay an annual fee to support us and to be included in our marketing activity). Other tourism related businesses in and around Dartmouth. Visitors to Dartmouth Local councils Dartmouth Chamber of Commerce Other local people We discuss our marketing of Dartmouth with all of our partners on a regular basis. In 2025 this resulted in a move to a more digital marketing plan, and the successful introduction of our app. We gave details of our plans and work to Dartmouth Town Council and Dartmouth Chamber of Commerce in their regular meetings in 2025, and gave opportunities for feedback.
