In the year 2024 to 2025, we continued our delivery of our Experts On Our Autism training in an expanded format that was adapted to the needs of our clients, which included Cambridge City Council, Healthwatch and Cambridge University Hospitals. In addition, we undertook two large projects. One of these was to join a consortium of six local organisations undertaking training to deliver Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training to all health and social care staff in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. In order to do this we recruited and trained learning disabled and autistic experts by experience, and contributed to the development of a strong local network, as well as creating new partnerships with organisations in London and elsewhere. We began delivering training for this project in February 2025. The second large project was a grant funded project for the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. We recruited neurodivergent experts by experience, and ran a programme of training and training delivery that benefitted over one hundred participants in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We were subsequently able to offer employment and volunteer positions to 11 experts by experience. TEOM continued to be an active participant in several local and regional networks, with one notable addition being the Involvement and Participation Network, which includes key organisations like the ICS, ICB, CPCA, district and county councils, CCVS, and other third sector organisations. The aim of this network is to create a culture of community involvement and participation in all services in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, and TEOM is a key member of the core members involved in the running of this network.
TEOM's stakeholders continue to include participants in our programmes; residents of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, and surrounding counties; the staff and board of trustees of local community organisations and charities; local specialist network members (for example Cambridge Mental Health Network); local businesses and local branches of national organisations; NHS England staff and social care staff. We can now include staff at district and county councils, as well as the combined authority in our stakeholder tally. In 2024 to 2025 we consulted with our lived experience experts on how they were affected by neurodivergent conditions, mental and physical health issues, learning disability, and other kinds of disability. We used the resulting findings to co-produce training resources and training events, which we then co-delivered. Each session of training we delivered was anonymously evaluated, and the findings were used to improve and expand upon our knowledge and trainings. We consulted with our lived experience experts on all aspects of TEOM's policies and procedures, as well as the policies and resources of other organisations. We consulted with the general public at events like Pride, and through our partnerships and networks.
