    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Other accounting policies

    Going Concern The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. The company's ongoing activities are dependent upon the continued support of the directors who have undertaken to provide such support for the foreseeable future. If the going concern basis were not appropriate, adjustments would have to be made to reduce the value of assets to their recoverable amount, to provide for any further liabilities that may arise and to reclassify fixed assets as current assets and long term liabilities as current liabilities.

Company activities and impact

Living Cities Earth CIC LCE was established with the purpose of transforming cities into thriving regenerative ecosystems where people and the planet can flourish together. While we have not yet traded during this reporting period we have made significant progress in laying the groundwork for our mission through six core initiatives that support regenerative education civic leadership city transformation and intergenerational wellbeing. Core Activities Undertaken 1 Development and Pilot of the Future Leaders Program FLP We developed and delivered a pilot of the Future Leaders Program FLP a free transformational education programme for young people aged 15 to 26 across 10000 cities worldwide. The programme aims to unlock the inner potential of youth and equip them with the tools to co create regenerative futures for themselves and their communities. Highlights include A seven week introductory programme focused on life skills ecological awareness systems thinking and wellbeing Additional offerings designed for parents and educators to support young people in their learning journey A successful pilot delivery to Ukrainian and Russian speaking youth worldwide reaching approximately 4000 participants through our online platforms More information about our global programme can be accessed at futureleaders dot info 2 Global Convenings and Stakeholder Engagement Throughout the year LCE hosted and participated in various global events panel discussions and interviews that engaged more than 6000 people from over 60 countries. These gatherings served as platforms for movement building intergenerational dialogue and collaborative design toward whole system transformation. 3 Conceptualisation of the Global Mayors Academy and City Leaders Program We began the conceptualisation of the Global Mayors Academy GMA a learning and activation platform for mayors and city leaders. This included outlining the structure of its flagship offering the City Leaders Program which will serve as an entry point into the broader Living Cities Earth ecosystem. The GMA is intended to Build regenerative leadership capacity among city officials Introduce tools and frameworks for whole city transformation Serve as a transformational induction into LCE consultancy diagnostic and learning platforms This conceptual phase included early stage team formation and alignment with other LCE programs. 4 Human Well Now Course Pilot Early 2024 In early 2024 we piloted a new offering called the Human Well Now course with a small group of participants. This pilot explored regenerative approaches to human development collective wellbeing and systems thinking aligned with LCE ethos of Humaning Well. Insights from the pilot are informing the development of a broader public launch of the course intended to support individuals and communities in embodying regenerative values and practices. 5 Development of the Living City Journey Consultancy Offering We initiated the design of the Living City Journey LCJ Consultancy a core product to support cities in diagnosing their current conditions and identifying regenerative opportunities. This offering will Provide integral assessments of urban challenges Connect cities to a global network of regenerative tools practices and partners Enable customised city transformation strategies based on LCE whole systems approach A dedicated team has begun laying the groundwork for the consultancy launch aligning it with LCE broader ecosystem and partner offerings. 6 Internal Ecosystem Building and Organisational Development In preparation for future delivery and trading we have also Established working groups across our four core segments Practice People Provisions and Process Aligned all key projects under a coherent strategic framework Continued building partnerships and refining governance structures to support long term growth Impact Summary More than 4000 youth served through the pilot of the Future Leaders Program More than 6000 global participants engaged through events and learning dialogues Six strategic initiatives conceived launched or piloted during the year including Youth education FLP Civic leadership GMA Personal development Human Well Now City transformation LCJ Consultancy Forward Outlook In the coming year Living Cities Earth CIC will transition from foundational development to active delivery. Priorities include Expanding the Future Leaders Program to new regions Advancing the Global Mayors Academy into a pilot ready phase Launching the Human Well Now course for public engagement Piloting the Living City Journey consultancy with select partner cities Building revenue streams through consultancy education and partnerships As an action research ecosystem we remain committed to nurturing the wellness of people and planet by helping cities and communities human well together for aliveness in love so that we may co create environments where all life can flourish in harmony with each other.
