CARE RADIO CIC

Company Number: 12266313 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 March 2025

Company activities and impact

Care Radio's target audience is that of carers, made up of staff working in the NHS and in other care environments, as well as the millions of unpaid carers. This is a huge cohort of just over nine million people. Everyone working on Care Radio has volunteered their time and energy free of charge to say thank you and support those who have given so much; many of our volunteers also have their own personal stories of care to share with our listeners. We broadcast a dedicated 24/7 nationwide radio station using a mix of popular music, listener voices, experts, advocates and relatable presenters to deliver a positive message of support, comfort and companionship, as well as light relief, for care workers and their families. The aim is to support the emotional well-being of care workers by signposting the support available, sharing problems and concerns, lifting spirits with stories and with celebrations of achievement, and creating a feeling of not ‘being in it alone’. The public are invited to express their empathy and support through Care Radio’s specially designed programs with their kind words, deeds and offers of help in a variety of ways. We channel any donations, promotions, special offers, gifts, freebies, incentives and thankyous to the NHS and the care sector. These come from businesses and their corporate social responsibility programmes as well as from individuals. We continue to receive immense support from presenters, producers, journalists and creatives as well as suppliers donating the services, supplies and the licences we require to continue our work.
