The CIC has reached 8 different communities across the Merseyside LCR during it's first year. We have redistrubuted over 6000 items of clothing through swapping, sharing and promoting preloved clothing. Throughout Winter, we held Winter Warmer events, giving out 169 coats for children and adults across our different communities, ensuring clothes poverty did'nt have people going cold this winter. We have visited 3 primary schools and provided free school uniform in 4 communities then donating the rest to Alder Hey Charity, for them to raise money by selling. We have promoted reuse and repair through workshops, Stitch and Fix sessions and social media content. Donated garments have been repaired and then back in to the clothing events to be reused. We have collaborated with other community projects to support them in their repair journey, further speading awareness and encouraging others to swap and share in their community.
