Company activities and impact

As a newly established CIC, Little West has focused on engaging community in developing the outdoor spaces to enhance biodiversity, and begin to create practical environments for children and families to connect with nature and benefit therapeutically. Local community and local primary school children have planted over 670 trees in the last financial year – creating a Tiny Forest for ecological, social and wellbeing benefits. Local community and local primary school children have also been involved in designing and developing a Community Garden (supported by Keep Wales Tidy) at Little West. These two spaces have provided educational and wellbeing opportunities to children, families and members of the local community. Little West has also provided clinical supervision to play therapists, and specialist consultation to a charity, which has supported therapeutic work with numerous children and families across South/West Wales.

Consultation with stakeholders

Little West have consulted with, and co-designed the Tiny Forest and Community Garden with stakeholders; these include local primary school children and the members of the local community who are engaged with projects at Little West.
