Kayani Camp is a non-profit organisation that from it opening has offered its members an opportunity to practise boxing and to pass leisure time actively. That being said our main goal was to get the youth off the street and in to the ring, being raised in Slough I know exactly how it is and where being on the street for your youth can lead too. I went from being a youth offender and trouble maker to a graduate and professional boxer if I can do it anyone can. The financial year has been pivotal is providing use for the community to get people off streets and benefit the whole community. Our club provides an opportunity for children Teenagers and young adults and to learn new skills and knowledge that will help equip them for their future. We hope by providing this platform for the youth to engage in, this will enable them to better perform in school, as well as in their future careers, and personal relationships. Through the engagement in boxing our members learn many skills such as leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and self-discipline. Our mission is to promote boxing and wellbeing with a purpose to make a significant impact in the local community by engaging young people in a hobby which will be a platform for them to do so. Our project was to help young people reach their potential by supporting them at the earliest possible stage through boxing, health and wellbeing with a purpose to make a significant impact in the local community and I take have pride in saying we definitely met many milestones and targets and helped many people better there lives. We work with partners including Police, NHS, Social Services and introduce role models. We host a number is benefits including helping young people from poorer/BAME backgrounds disengage in anti-social behaviour, knife crime, drugs or get drawn in to gangs.
