COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

OPERA GREENWICH C.I.C.

Company Number: 15523225 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 28 February 2026

Company activities and impact

The company has positively impacted the local community and emerging artists in the following ways: - An emerging artists programme was launched offering free workshops for emerging singers (12 discounted) and highly discounted for another participant. - We created a full operatic production of The Magic Flute with over 50 volunteers from across Greenwich and some over London to highlight young and emerging talent from the south east. - The full production saw low cost tickets draw in a diverse range of audiences from across London's South East. - Our Opera Chorus participated in a number of events including a Christmas concert and we saw a record high of 25+ participants for our production of The Magic Flute. - We've seen the highest engagement with our company in Greenwich this year and have built a strong presence within the community.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders are the community we work with both in our emerging artists and community chorus participants, but also in the community. We firstly spent time gathering feedback on the facilitators brought in for our emerging artists to ensure that in the future we can invite back the effective facilitators. We also wanted to ensure that we were steered in the direction that the participants felt would be most useful. Since our production of The Magic Flute, we have also sought advice from an advisory body of community participants who have guided us through their own professional experience across a multitude of industries, how to proceed with the company. They have offered advice on growing the business within the community.
