During the financial year, the London Hummingbirds Korean Choir’s activities have promoted social inclusion by bringing together members from different backgrounds and age groups through regular rehearsals, choir gatherings, and team-building activities, helping to reduce isolation and strengthen community ties. Members have benefited from opportunities to build confidence, teamwork, and wellbeing through shared musical participation and cultural engagement. Some of our performances in the last financial year were at: - Korean Liberation Day event in August 2025, helping to celebrate Korean heritage and contributing to cultural awareness and community cohesion. - Kingston Hospital in December 2025, bringing music and seasonal support to patients, staff, and visitors in a caring community setting. - Book talk / Korean women’s group event, supporting intercultural exchange and community connection through discussion and shared cultural activity.
The main stakeholders of London Korean Hummingbirds Choir CIC include choir members, audiences attending public performances, and organisations that hosted or partnered with the choir, such as local councils, senior citizens’ groups, and Kingston Hospital. Stakeholders have been consulted through meetings, where feedback on repertoire, rehearsal schedules, and performance themes has been encouraged and taken into account. Discussions with event organisers and host institutions have helped the company understand the needs and expectations of different groups, such as older residents and hospital visitors. In response, the choir has adjusted the choice and pacing of songs to better suit mixed age or senior audiences, expanded opportunities for new members to join and participate, and strengthened relationships with community organisations to ensure that future events remain accessible, inclusive, and culturally relevant to the local community.
