Principal activities of the company

Thrive Impact CIC is a community interest company working to support women, young people and families in Thamesmead and surrounding areas, including Bexley and Greenwich. During the period, the company’s principal activities were the development and delivery of community-based support, empowerment and engagement programmes. This included work to support women affected by domestic abuse and disadvantage, youth mentoring and positive activities for young people, and wider community support for families and individuals facing barriers. The company’s activities focused on creating safe, inclusive and supportive spaces where participants could build confidence, improve wellbeing, develop practical life skills, access information and signposting, and strengthen community connection. Any income, grants and donations received during the period were used, or retained, to further the company’s community interest purposes and support future delivery

Company activities and impact

During the period, Thrive Impact CIC worked to support women, young people and families in Thamesmead and surrounding areas, including Bexley and Greenwich. Our activities focused on community support, mentoring, empowerment, wellbeing and practical help for people facing barriers, including women affected by domestic abuse, young people needing positive engagement, and parents/carers seeking support. The company delivered and developed community-based programmes including Empower Her, Teen Connect and wider family/community support activities. These activities helped participants build confidence, access safe spaces, develop life skills, improve wellbeing, connect with others and receive signposting to relevant services where needed. Funding and donations received during the period were used to support the company’s community activities and development. Any surplus has been retained to further the company’s community interest purposes in future periods.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company engaged with community members, participants, volunteers, local partners and grassroots networks to understand local needs and shape activities. Feedback from participants and partners helped inform the development of programmes and future delivery
