The Company maintains the website partykitnetwork.org, an online directory connecting those planning a party with party kit lenders. The directory makes it easier for more people to access reusable tableware locally and avoid unnecessary waste from single-use items such as difficult-to-recycle disposable plates. Avoiding single-use items makes parties more sustainable by reducing waste and the loss of precious resources to landfill. The website was first launched in 2019. The Company operates a single party kit with income directly funding the Company. All other party kits are run independently by Members who have registered with the Network and the Company does not have operational responsibility for these party kits. The party kits are predominately based in the UK and Australia, with Members also in the Republic of Ireland, USA, New Zealand, and more. During the financial year 2024-2025 the Company’s activities have benefited the community in the following ways: Improved the accessibility of reusable tableware by adding 74 new Member registrations, from 7 countries. The total number of party kit locations increased to 618. The Company supported Members to lend their party kits avoiding the waste from over 315,959 single-use items such as disposable plates, cups, bowls and cutlery (based on the responses from 202 Members - 35%). Directly enabled party and event organisers to avoid 7,655 single-use items through hires of the single party kit operated by the Company in Winchester, UK. Directly facilitated just over 1,000 booking enquiries via the online enquiry form available on party kit listings. Hosted 30 online meet ups to support people interested in setting up new party kits for their communities. Indirectly supported a range of registered charities, school PTAs and local community projects as approx. 43% of party kits which charge for hires donate all or part of their income. (based on the responses from 202 Members, 2025) Increased awareness of the party kit concept through social media and partnerships. During 2024–25, the Company received an £825 grant from the Winchester City Council Small Grant Scheme to purchase reusable tableware for Party Kit Winchester (recorded under ‘Other Income’). This investment has supported the Company to generate additional income to help fund services for our Network Members, while also enabling us to support local community events such as PTA fundraisers and street parties. To date, this grant-funded tableware has helped prevent almost 3,000 single-use items from going to waste.
The Company’s core stakeholders are Members of the Party Kit Network. Members are those who run party kits for their local community and have registered with us. Two members are also on the Company's Board of Directors to ensure Members are always represented in key decisions. The Company runs an active Facebook group community facilitating regular interaction between the Company and Members which helps us to better understand the needs of our Members and those looking to join. There are currently 1,419 Members in the group of which 718 were actively engaged with the group over the last 28 days. We have run surveys via the group in order to help inform our decision making, such as fundraising ideas or our strategy for setting up a public liability scheme, and responded to requests such as providing a new guide to approaching local partnerships. The Company runs an Annual Audit each July giving registered Members an opportunity to update us on the success of their party kit and feedback on how the Party Kit Network could further support Members. A total of 202 Members participated in the 2025 Annual Audit (35%of the Network). The Company’s secondary stakeholders are those planning a party who have used our online directory to find and contact their local kit. This year we have consulted with these stakeholders on a reactionary basis, either to resolve issues or answer queries.
