| During the year, the company purchased 3 of its own ordinary shares of £1 each for a total consideration of £25,000. The shares were cancelled on purchase and the issued share capital was reduced accordingly. The purchase was funded from distributable reserves, and a transfer equal to the nominal value of the cancelled shares was made to the capital redemption reserve. |
