During the period, the company has: - Organised inclusive sports events, including swimrun events, designed to allow individuals of all abilities to take part in mainstream sport - Provided structured swimming lessons and training opportunities tailored to the needs of young adults and adults with additional needs - Created a supportive environment that promotes physical health, emotional well-being, communication skills, and social development These activities have benefited the community by: - Increasing access to sport for individuals who often face barriers to participation - Supporting physical and mental well-being through structured activity - Encouraging social inclusion, confidence, and independence - Building a stronger, more inclusive community through shared participation in sport
The company’s stakeholders include: - Participants (children, young adults, and adults with learning disabilities and autism) - Parents and carers - Partner organisations supporting individuals with additional needs - Local community and event participants Consultation has taken place through: - Direct feedback from participants and parents during and after sessions - Ongoing communication with partner organisations (e.g. disability support groups) - Observational feedback and continuous programme adaptation based on participant needs As a result of this feedback: - Sessions and events have been tailored to improve accessibility and inclusivity - Additional support structures have been implemented to better meet individual needs - Programmes continue to evolve to ensure maximum benefit and engagement.
