Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 May 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

• 1. Accounting policies

  Basis of measurement and preparation

  These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

  Other accounting policies

  Going Concern At the point of the 2024 show, the Lord Mayor’s Show Limited is continuing work to improve the commercial viability of the show and exploring new potential income streams. The company is reliant on financial support from the City of London Corporation and both parties remain in a collaboration and support agreement providing ongoing support for the Show. On the basis of the above, the Directors of Lord Mayor’s Show Limited believe that it continues to be appropriate that the financial statements are prepared on a going concern basis Income and expenditure The accounts of the Lord Mayor’s Show Limited are maintained on an accruals basis. Consequently, activity is accounted for in the year that it takes place, not simply when cash payments are made or received. Deferred income Income received during the year in respect of the November 2025 Lord Mayor's Show has been deferred and will be recognised in the accounting year in which the show takes place.
