Notes to the financial statements
Year ended 31 July 2025
1. General information
The company is a private company limited by shares, registered in England and Wales. The address of the registered office is Flat 8 Walbrook Court, 2 Hemsworth Street, London, N1 5LF.
2. Statement of compliance
These financial statements have been prepared in compliance with the provisions of FRS 102, Section 1A, 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland'.
3. Accounting policies
Basis of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. The company's functional and presentational currency is Sterling.
Going concern
The directors believe that the company is experiencing good levels of sales growth and profitability and that it is well-placed to manage its business risks successfully. Accordingly, they have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus, they continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.
Turnover
Revenue is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable. Revenue is reduced for discounts, customer rebates and other similar allowances. Revenue excludes Value Added Tax.
Taxation
Taxation represents the sum of tax currently payable and deferred tax.The company's liability for current tax is calculated using tax rates that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the end of the reporting period. Deferred tax is recognised on all timing differences between the carrying amounts of assets and liabilities in the financial statements and the corresponding tax bases used in the computation of taxable profit. The carrying amount of deferred tax assets is reviewed at the end of each reporting period and reduced to the extent that it is no longer probable that sufficient taxable profits will be available to allow all or part of the asset to be recovered.Deferred tax assets and liabilities are measured at the tax rates that are expected to apply in the period in which the liability is settled or the asset realised, based on tax rates (and tax laws) that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the end of the reporting period.
Tangible assets
Tangible fixed assets held for the company's own use are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation and accumulated impairment losses.
Depreciation
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life or, if held under a finance lease, over the lease term, whichever is the shorter:
Fittings fixtures and equipment - 25 % straight line
Motor vehicles - 20 % reducing balance
Motor vehicles - 33.33 % reducing balance
If there is an indication that there has been a significant change in depreciation rate, useful life or residual value of tangible assets, the depreciation is revised prospectively to reflect the new estimates.
Impairment
At each balance sheet date, the company reviews the carrying amount of its tangible fixed assets to determine whether there is any indication that any items have suffered an impairment loss. If any such indication exists, the recoverable amount of an asset is estimated in order to determine the extent of the impairment loss, if any. Where it is not possible to estimate the recoverable amount of the asset, the company estimates the recoverable amount of the cash-generating unit to which the asset belongs.
Hire purchase and finance leases
Assets held under finance leases are recognised in the statement of financial position as assets and liabilities at the lower of the fair value of the assets and the present value of the minimum lease payments, which is determined at the inception of the lease term. Any initial direct costs of the lease are added to the amount recognised as an asset. Lease payments are apportioned between the finance charges and reduction of the outstanding lease liability using the effective interest method. Finance charges are allocated to each period so as to produce a constant rate of interest on the remaining balance of the liability.
Financial instruments
Loans are recognised at the transaction value.
Defined contribution plans
The company operates a defined contribution pension plan for the benefit of its employees. Contributions are recognised as expenses as they become payable. The assets of the defined contribution pension scheme are held separately from those of the company in an independently administered fund.
4. Employee numbers
The average number of persons employed by the company during the year amounted to 3 (2024: 2 ).
