Ayan World Music CIC delivered cross-cultural arts, music and wellbeing programmes across Wales during the financial year. Activities included community workshops, live performances and InnerConnect wellbeing sessions. These activities benefited the community by improving access to arts and culture, supporting mental wellbeing through participatory music sessions, and promoting inclusion and cultural exchange across diverse communities. The company worked with partners including Arts Council Wales, Awen Cultural Trust, Chapter Arts and Ty Cerdd to reach a wide range of participants. Overall, the company’s work contributed to strengthening community connections, supporting local artists, and enhancing wellbeing through accessible creative programmes.
The company engaged with stakeholders including participants, partner organisations, artists and community groups through programme delivery and collaboration. Consultation took place informally through feedback gathered during workshops, performances and wellbeing sessions, as well as through ongoing discussions with partner organisations such as Arts Council Wales, Awen Cultural Trust, Chapter Arts and Ty Cerdd. Feedback has been used to shape future activities, improve programme delivery and ensure that the company’s work remains relevant, inclusive and responsive to community needs.
Directors received payments for services delivered to the CIC during the financial year, including artistic performances, workshop facilitation, project coordination and programme delivery. These payments were made on a fair and reasonable basis, were directly linked to the delivery of the company’s community activities, and were in accordance with the company’s Articles of Association. No payments were made for statutory director duties alone. All remuneration was necessary to support the delivery of cross-cultural arts, music and wellbeing programmes across Wales.
