Company activities and impact

The objective ofWellmindz CIC is to provide mental health support to people within our locaL diverse community, suffering with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and panic attacks. We aim to benefit anyone within our community of any age or gender. We hold a group every Wednesday that is open for anyone to attend. We started with only a small number of people but our reputation has grown and our numbers have risen steadily over the last twelve months. Every session is planned to ensure that our attendees gain as much from it as possible. We use creative sessions to promote relaxation and it also gives the group time to chat and get to know each other. We have noticed that they arc beginning to support each other even outside the group. We hold workshops based around anxiety, depression etc. We provide helpful tips about how to deal with the feelings associated with the issue we are discussing. Impact The activities delivered by Wellmindz CIC has helped to: - Increase and improve communication skills. - Promote community inclusion. - Promote self-expression and creativity. - Reduce isolation and create social connections. - Improve and increase overall mental health and wellbeing. - Promote self-care and independence. We were asked to form a Women's Group within our area for a trial period of 8 weeks. We were then approached by a member of the Church who organise the sessions every Thursday, who asked us to keep the sessions going. This proved to us that there is a definite need for a group like this in our area. When we told the group that it was going to continue they were extremely happy with our decision. The group has continued to grow, promoting good mental health practice using creativity and workshops.
