The Fritz Tutoring Learning & Play Hub provides 1:1 and group sessions for neuro diverse children and their families. It can also provide training to schools and other educational institutions on SEND best practice methods. The company has traded as a CIC since July 2024. In November 2024 the Fritz Tutoring Learning & Play Hub managed to secure funding from the National Lottery for £18,518. The funding was specifically to cover rent on the Hub workspace (located at Tooting Works, 89 Bickersteth Road, SW17 9SH) and to enable us to provide free sessions for families on a low income. We provided weekly under-fives stay and play sessions for parents with children awaiting formal diagnosis. These sessions not only provided a neuro-affirming space for children to play but also supported parents in learning about their children’s needs and in modelling communication and play skills. The funding also allowed us to run a free autistic teens social group on a Friday after school. We were also able to provide 3 grants funded 1:1 play & tuition sessions per week during term time, supporting SEND children who had not yet found a school placement. However, because this CIC was incorrectly set up as limited by shares it has proved difficult to obtain further funding. A new CIC limited by guarantee was therefore formed in June 2025 and it is our intention to close Fritz Tutoring Learning & Play Hub once the National Lottery funding has been depleted. The new CIC has a similar name – The Learning & Play Hub – and an identical ethos and purpose, but is limited by guarantee.
The sessions we provide are in direct response to referrals received by the Learning and Play Hub. Consultation with our local community (through requests from parents and discussion with current service users) showed the need for an under 5’s group and a teen group in the community we serve. We now send out a feedback survey at the end of every cycle of sessions to ensure we are providing the support needed by our community of SEND children and young people and their families. We also have a referral form we ask all new service users / parents/carers to fill out when signing up to the Hub which helps us better understand what kind of sessions people are looking for.
The total paid to the only Director who received remuneration through the CIC in respect of qualifying services was £9599.00. In addition pension costs for this Director came to £314.00. Of the £9599, £6279 was paid through PAYE and includes tax and national insurance. The remaining £3320 was paid direct specifically for support with grant funded sessions. Income received during 2024-2025 tax year has been declared in B E Fritz's self assessment tax return for 2024-2025. Income received during 2025-2026 will be declared in B E Fritz's self assessment tax return for 2025-2026. All tax and NI for this amount accounted for through self-assessment. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors.
