The principal activity of the company in the year was to create opportunities to advance access to quality creativity with particular focus on people with protected characteristics. Two main commission was with the National Trust, engaging four diverse groups in creative workshops and co-design of new sculptures, ideal for reaching its Creative Equality aims. The groups were: residents/National Trust volunteers local to Croome, looked-after young people (in care), prisoners at HMP Hewell and vulnerable women supported by the JOY project (part of Worcester Community Trust) with extension engagement with children and yoiung people from a Worcester youth club. Evaluation shows 99% saw wellbeing improvements in taking part, 100% were proud of what they created and 99% would recommend the project to others. Monitoring data shows the company is achieving its aim of supporting people with protected characteristics: participant ages range from 6-79 and 61% have a neurodiversity diagnosis, 53% experience mental health issues, 31% have a physical disability, 20% are looked after / care experienced. 75% have never taken part in any similar creative project before and 98% said they’d recommend taking part to others.
