Company activities and impact

During the financial year August 2024 to July 2025 Reading Caribbean Nation CIC hosted a series of events which were well attended by the community. Reading Caribbean nation provided a series of carnival costume making workshops this was held With children in mind. Openly expressing their creativity and ideas for displaying the artistic flare in the creation of carnival costumes The flags of freedom Carnival was held in June 2025 to commemorate all participant within Carnival culture past & present community volunteers. Bringing a piece of community spirit and community engagement. Event was held at thameside promenade with enthusiasm and culture and pride. Our training sessions helps to make participants working ready gaining them experience along with real time event management skin. Our training sessions builds confidence, self worth, and certification of achievement. Our event s raise awareness and benefits the community through history arts and culture.

Consultation with stakeholders

RC and stakeholders are the community of Reading and surrounding areas which include like the shopkeepers businesses and groups. The directors of the company are born and bred in Reading, with a invested interests and strong desire to revise and sustain Reading carnival and cultural events in Reading. RCN host open community meetings at least twice a year to gain feedback from the community and to engage and and participation from the community and committee members about each hosted or upcoming events. At each of our events we ask the community members for feedback through forms and interviews, all information collected helps us to plan future events.
